Led by James Connell, our team is made up of world class musicians who are also accomplished audio producers, video producers, and directors. This is what makes our work different. We do not approach classical recording and video production as outsiders. We understand the music, the language, the pressure, the phrasing, the preparation, and the artistic standards because we have lived them ourselves as performers, producers, and collaborators.
We produce high end audio recordings for classical musicians, including projects for major recording labels such as Sony Classical and Deutsche Grammophon, as well as cinematic art videos designed to promote classical artists, recordings and concert careers. We also produce video for students that are auditioning.
For more than forty years, James Connell has worked in front of and behind microphones and cameras, with everyone from gifted young students to internationally recognized artists. Based in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex, we work with musicians, conservatories, and organizations across DFW, throughout Texas, and across the United States and abroad. Our passion is classical music, and our purpose is simple: to help you sound, look, and present yourself at the highest possible level.

Connell Music is based in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex and is deeply connected to the region's classical music community. We regularly record and film members of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, faculty and students from the University of North Texas, SMU Meadows School of the Arts, and Texas Christian University, as well as soloists, chamber ensembles, choirs, and church and orchestral musicians from across North Texas.
Whether you are a Dallas or Fort Worth artist releasing an album, a student preparing a college or competition audition, or an ensemble producing a cinematic concert video, we bring the same world-class production we deliver for major labels right here to DFW. Recording sessions take place in carefully selected halls and churches throughout the Metroplex, chosen for their acoustics rather than in conventional studios.
